Fuel Oil Specialties

Alarms and gauges to measure tank level and accessories

Combination Fill Alarm and Tank Gauge is a complete factory-assembled unit. Take it out of the box, and it's ready to install.

Alarms provide an efficient method for quickly filling tanks to their maximum safe level. When the whistling stops, the correct level has been reached.

Tank Gauges are designed with a rugged lever action which assures trouble-free operation every time.

Vent Caps, Speed Fill connectors and caps, inspection panels, bushings, fill caps.

Thermal Management Considerations for Heating Fuel

Marine grade vinyl Shell with excellent UV resistance
Cold Crack Rating of -20°F
Heavy duty corrosion resistant Zippers
Weather resistant Dacron® polyester Thread
Highest quality R7 Insulation

Oil Burners and Furnaces are most efficient when running pure No. 2 heating oil or Bio-Fuel without additives and in a free flowing state mixing ("cutting") No.2 heating fuel with Kerosene to lower the gel temperature increases cost and reduces heating efficiency. Using chemical additives to lower gel temperatures will increase costs and generally have negative effect on burner efficiency. Bio-Fuels gel at substantially higher temperatures than No. 2 heating oil with gelling temperatures increasing with higher percentage blends. This leads to inefficient burner operation and can cause the burner to stop working. A Thermal Tank Cover in conjunction with a Fuel Heater creates the most economical and comprehensive Fuel Heating System for maintaining consistent and correct fuel temperatures for outside tank installations.

Fuel Heating System pays for itself quickly and without undesirable side effects.

Cost Savings by maintaining the correct fuel temperature and eliminating the need to cut with Kerosene.

Fuel Oil Tank Heaters and Immersion Heaters

In Line External Electrical Heaters

Powder coated sheet metal case
600 Watt output heating coil
Input Power: 115 Volt 50/60 Hz
Size: 18"L x 12"W x 2.5'H. Weight: 6.5 lbs
3/8" female NPT Connections

Immersion Type Heaters

These fuel oil heaters are used to heat fuel oil to a desired temperature before combusted in the furnace.

Electric oil pre-heaters can be provided in a flange or screw plug design. Thermostats are provided with or without interlocks. Interlocks are used to prevent the oil pump from pumping cold, thick oil into the furnace until the oil has been preheated to the required temperature.

The heaters are designed with watt densities which vary in regards to velocity of the oil. Heavy oil (#5 or #6 Bunker C) should operate at a watt density of 8 to 12 watts per square inch, Medium oil (3 or #4) at a watt density of 15-18 watts per square inch and Light oil (#1 or #2) at a watt density of 20-24 watts per square inch.

Designed for, fuel oil tanks, storage tanks for chemical, food, beverage and various other oil level management systems. Designed for the applications that are either hazardous, NEMA rated, Explosion Proof, industrial, commercial, residential, municipal, governmental, utility applications.

Systems can be supplied as prefabricated systems or loose components for field erect purposes
